Advent and Lent Resources
We’re so glad you’re interested in Triptych!
As an extension of the weekly scripture and devotion offering through the FastPrayGive.org program, WesleyMen offers an Advent through Epiphany and Lenten guide each year.
What is a Triptych? It’s the name of a “hinged” piece consisting of three panels. Popular in religious art and iconography, this often themed form of art expression has been popular since the middle ages. Constructed in a manner in which they can be folded for storage or transport they have often been portable altarpieces.
This devotional version of Triptych is three-fold in more than one way. Each day’s entry includes Scripture, a reflection, and prayer. In addition, each season is constructed in a triune theme.
FastPrayGive.org hopes that this will lead you on a spiritual journey in each season as we remember and rehearse the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus and help make your experience enjoyable. Also included in these guides is the opportunity to act by contributing to seasonal campaigns working to end hunger.

FastPrayGive is a global grassroots movement to end hunger by the means of grace. You are invited to skip one meal per week, pray for hungry people during that time, and give the inexpensive cost of a daily meal for someone in need (starting at $8 per month). It’s incredibly simple, and by participating at FastPrayGive.org we’ll send you encouragement and prayer examples weekly via email. Through practicing spiritual disciplines like fasting, prayer, and generous giving we’re asking God to be deeply involved in our efforts to end hunger.
WesleyMen is formally the World Fellowship of Methodist and Uniting Church Men and is an affiliate organization of the World Methodist Council. WesleyMen seeks to connect men in the Wesleyan tradition for Christian fellowship and witness through active works backed by words.
Praise For Triptych

Rev. Dr. Jean Hawxhurst
Ecumenical Staff Officer, The Council of Bishops, The United Methodist Church
It is so good to be reminded of our Wesleyan Heritage and to delve into scripture with that lens. I appreciate the daily opportunity to reflect and pray as a disciple called to social holiness, loving our neighbors sacrificially after the example of Christ.

Rev. Jim Harry
St. Paul Methodist, Goldsboro, NC
Three Days in … The genuineness of the reflections and the prayers are invitations to self-empty and to grab the throne chair and yet they’re gentle and so very real.

Rev. Dr. F. Belton Joyner, Jr
North Carolina Annual Conference
Thank you for the powerful prayers that were part of this year's [Lent]Triptych. I really felt that I was praying them, not just reading them.
