FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
As an extension of the weekly scripture and devotion offering through the FastPrayGive.org program, WesleyMen is offering an Advent through Epiphany guide.
This guide uses selections from the daily readings of the Revised Common Lectionary (year B). While there are many such Advent resources, WesleyMen offers this viewed through the “lens” of three foundational scriptures, Isaiah 58:1-14, Luke 1:46-55, and Luke 4:16-21. Borrowing the name of an art piece of three hinged panels, called a Triptych, each day offers a Triptych of scripture, reflection, and prayer as well.
WesleyMen hopes that this will lead you on a spiritual journey in this season as we remember and rehearse the birth of Jesus and help make your experience enjoyable. “We really did try and assess the year 2020 has been in reviewing the scriptures and crafting some centering thoughts and prayers,” Say FastPrayGive.org Executive Director Andy Morris, “My favorite elementary school teacher always said that every day is a new day, and as we wait for Jesus we being a new year and prepare for his coming. We think it will be meaningful for you to join us on this journey.”

FastPrayGive is a global grassroots movement to end hunger by the means of grace. You are invited to skip one meal per week, pray for hungry people during that time, and give the inexpensive cost of a daily meal for someone in need (starting at $8 per month). It’s incredibly simple, and by participating at FastPrayGive.org we’ll send you encouragement and prayer examples weekly via email. Through practicing spiritual disciplines like fasting, prayer, and generous giving we’re asking God to be deeply involved in our efforts to end hunger.
WesleyMen is formally the World Fellowship of Methodist and Uniting Church Men and is an affiliate organization of the World Methodist Council. WesleyMen seeks to connect men in the Wesleyan tradition for Christian fellowship and witness through active works backed by words.
